“All I want to do is go back to our studio apartment in Kloof Street, with its breathtaking views. I love our idyllic, sheltered existence, and riding my fixed gear bike in and around town while wearing my wayfarer sunglasses. I collect vinyl. I love listening to Sonic Youth on vinyl all night long. I have a Bauhaus patch on my black leather jacket, but my friend is borrowing it this weekend. My favourite restaurant is Arnold’s, I love sitting outside and doing design work on my iBook. I only read Dazed, and I only watch French New Wave films. I love going out to Evol, where I look exactly the same as everyone else, and I enjoy standing in the corner staring everyone down. I am an electro deejay, but I don’t know how to mix. We have pet hamsters, but they’ll be out of fashion next week (I read it in Dazed and Confused), so I think we’ll get something different. I heart literature. Vivienne Westwood is my favourite fashion designer. I’m a vegetarian, but I heard that going vegan is the next big thing.”
